We are looking for a Product Manager willing to take end-to-end ownership of SEPA Payments. The scope includes both single payments (SECT), as well as multiple European credit transfers (MECT).
Payments is on the move. With market trends like AI, Big Tech and Fintech shaping the future, ING Payments is working on the next steps towards seamless and integrated Payments for our customers. All while keeping a keen eye on being safe & compliant, which will always be a top priority for Payments!
Work Environment
In the Payment NL department (tribe), the team works towards giving customers the best and most seamless Payment customer journeys possible. They seek a customer journey expert who has knowledge of Payment Products and developing mobile and web features to improve customer experience. The role involves leading development teams to develop new or improved features from concept to production.
ING Payments NL is one of the largest tribes within ING the Netherlands and mostly based in Amsterdam, servicing 7 million customers daily.
Team
Part of the “Paying” area of the Payments department, which includes multiple customer journey experts, each with their own payment product scope (e.g., International Payments, Instant Payments, SEPA Payments). The role works closely with other ING departments, risk parties, tribes, and countries across the payments chain.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree
- Knowledge of the Payment market
- Understanding of customer needs and challenges
- Commercial mindset and drive to make an impact
- Experience implementing innovations or propositions
- Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision making
- Good interpersonal and collaborative skills with multiple stakeholders
- Fluent in Dutch and English (verbal and written)
- Deep dive into the content to create the best products
- Understand compliance and regulations but willing to challenge status quo
