The Community You Will Join
The Roadmap Planning & Program Management team sits at the intersection of strategy and execution with the aim of planning and delivering the company’s priority products while providing executives the visibility and input they require to guide bi-annual releases. The team drives impact on the company roadmap and scales product-focused program management, partnering across design, product marketing, engineering, supply, marketing, operations and other teams to deliver roadmap outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering, product marketing, design, community support, and other cross-functional teams to deliver software product programs with the highest quality and on schedule.
- Understand dependencies across functions to optimize the overall system and deliver high-quality offerings at scale.
- Communicate complex topics clearly and simply; operate at multiple altitudes by tailoring communication style and approach.
- Anticipate risks and issues and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop bespoke program plans tailored to each initiative and drive issues to resolution beyond status reporting.
- Drive improvements, simplification, and best practices for program management.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a combination of program management, product management, or business operations managing sophisticated software product programs end-to-end in a creative-led, fast-paced environment.
- Strong product and/or technology experience including product management or engineering (software preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to ship software products at global scale and overcome a variety of challenges.
- Critical thinking skills to develop custom program plans for specific programs.
- World-class verbal and written communication skills; exceptional influencing and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and be a trusted agent for change with business leaders up to the executive level.
- Track record managing ambitious and operationally complex projects with cross-functional teams across product development, product marketing, design, marketing, and operations.
- Expertise in program management tools such as Airtable, Asana, Jira, Smartsheets, etc.
- Thrives in ambiguity and in a fast-paced, hyper-growth organization.
Location Requirements
Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. Currently, employees cannot be located in: Alaska, Indiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Delaware, and Rhode Island. If employed by another Airbnb entity, eligibility may differ and a recruiter will advise.
Compensation & Benefits
The actual base pay is dependent upon factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
Pay Range
$176,000—$220,000 USD
