Role overview

As a Programs & Business Operations Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Airbnb's Services business. This role focuses on analyzing supply and demand across countries, travel corridors, and customer segments to understand drivers of key business, financial, and customer metrics. The role emphasizes in-depth data analysis, metric definition, benchmark creation, experimentation, and synthesis of high-level insights for prioritization. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are crucial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced analysis to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across key geographical markets.
• Drive operational excellence by translating data-driven insights into actionable operational plans that enhance Services business performance and build efficiency into systems.
• Define new metrics and identify leading indicators of key business outcomes.
• Build dashboards to track key performance metrics across markets and customer segments to establish benchmarks.
• Engage and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; provide guidance and support to help Experience Hosts thrive within the Airbnb marketplace.
• Develop creative approaches to structuring incentives, business models, and ways of working to enable nimble and efficient scale.

Requirements / Expertise

• 10+ years of experience leading high-growth businesses, with demonstrated ability to influence and align functional teams and a proven track record of building and scaling new businesses. Marketplace experience within a digital company is preferred.
• Strong analytical and strategic skills with deep understanding of guest needs and market dynamics; ability to distill complex information into clear business strategies.
• Deep understanding of econometric and statistical analysis and experience applying these skills to derive insights from broad datasets.
• Experience defining metrics, running experimentation, and creating benchmarks.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to engage and influence stakeholders including executive leadership.
• Expertise in cross-functional collaboration, driving transparency, accountability, and a unified vision.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working independently to execute complex programs; strategic thinker with passion for innovation and new product development.
• Proven experience in business operations, leading strategic and tactical execution within a large organization, advising management on complex projects or issues.
• Capable of process improvement, self-learning, and developing tools to enhance processes while interpreting business risks and recommending best practices.
• Enthusiasm for community engagement and demonstrating Airbnb’s core values to foster belonging.

Your location

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager. You must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity (there is an up-to-date list of excluded states on the Airbnb careers site).

Compensation & benefits

• Base pay range: $168,000—$203,000 USD.
• This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
