The Program Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation of projects across various Booking.com business units and departments. This role supports delivery on a number of projects ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and scoped to project specifications and defined quality standards, and is also responsible for producing clear and regular updates to internal stakeholders on the progress.

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary contact to stakeholders and partners regarding all project-related questions and information for projects that fall within scope
  • Effectively support the delivery of projects according to budgets assigned/requested
  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget to defined Booking.com specifications and quality standards
  • Support development of large-scale project scopes or manage development of smaller scale projects and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and checking technical feasibility when needed
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation across teams
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation for reporting purposes
  • Perform and support risk management to minimize project risks through ownership of the risk register, ensuring it is updated and communicated in a timely manner
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors as needed
  • Hold each member of the project accountable for the delivery of their part of the project

Requirements

  • Experience in managing or coordinating projects
  • Proven track record supporting project delivery both locally and remotely, from start to finish
  • Ability to perform under pressure and maintain a professional outlook regardless of the situation
  • Strong communicator focused on building bridges and working collaboratively
  • Actively solicits feedback and reflects on own behavior and performance
  • Ability to prioritize activities according to project requirements
  • Shows awareness of expectations of the business
  • An undergraduate degree in a field focused on research with human subjects (e.g., HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Sociology) or similar background is expected
