Details
NVIDIA Research’s "AI-Mediated Reality and Interaction" team is seeking a research scientist to help create interactive physical AIs capable of operating in dynamic 4D worlds. The group performs fundamental research on algorithms, theory and applications of human-AI interaction and 4D world modeling using AI, neural rendering, graphics, generative modeling, large language models, human behavior understanding and digital human creation. Work from this team impacts NVIDIA products such as Isaac, Omniverse, Metropolis, NuRec, XR and AI4Media, and the role emphasizes both publishing and transitioning ideas into products.
Responsibilities
- Propose, research, prototype and test innovative research ideas.
- Publish at top conferences and patent research ideas.
- Collaborate with research team members and external researchers; mentor interns.
- Create working interactive demonstrations to showcase research ideas.
- Participate in technology transfer with engineers across NVIDIA to move ideas from research to product.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent research experience.
- Outstanding research track record in top-tier conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, SIGGRAPH, NeurIPS, ICLR, etc.).
- Proficiency in theory and practice of AI and computer vision algorithms.
- Experience with 3D graphics development.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and CUDA.
- Proficiency with distributed deep learning training frameworks (e.g., PyTorch).
- Excellent communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: 160,000 USD - 258,750 USD (determined based on location, experience, and internal pay equity).
- Eligible for equity and company benefits (see NVIDIA benefits).
