NVIDIA Research is seeking a generative AI researcher to join the Fundamental Generative AI research team. The team focuses on advancing generative AI methods for biomolecular design (small molecules, proteins, RNA) and other scientific applications (GenAI4Science). The role emphasizes fundamental research, developing novel models, publishing at top venues, and transferring technology to product groups. The position expects a strong mathematical foundation and the ability to analyze and develop novel models while working in a collaborative research environment.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and implement novel, large-scale generative AI methods.
  • Publish original research and present at conferences and events.
  • Collaborate with team members, other research teams, and product teams.
  • Transfer research/technology to product groups.

Requirements

  • Completing or recently completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the theory and practice of generative AI and machine learning.
  • Experience building generative models for molecules, molecular dynamics, proteins, RNA, or other scientific data.
  • Excellent programming skills in prototyping environments such as Python; experience with C++ and parallel programming (e.g., CUDA).
  • Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
  • Outstanding research track record (publications) and strong communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: 168,000 USD - 264,500 USD (determined by location, experience, and comparable employee pay).
