Information about the position

Vinted Pay launched recently in 2023 after obtaining an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from Bank of Lithuania. Right now Vinted Pay focuses on developing products and solutions for more seamless payments transactions for Vinted marketplace members. Vinted Pay acts in a strictly regulated financial entities environment.As a Risk and Outsourcing Officer in the Vinted Pay, You will be directly responsible to the Board of the Vinted Pay and closely cooperating with Compliance, AML and Security functions, as well as Vinted Group Risk Management team. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of Vinted Pay Risk Management and Outsourcing policies and Vinted Pay risk register, advise the Board and Vinted Pay CEO on risk management priorities and monitor outsourcing risks. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent execution skills and hands-on approach, a strong understanding of risks and outsourcing management and the ability to navigate and drive programmes in a complex environment.

In this position, you’ll

  • Support Vinted Pay Board in the development and implementation of Risk Management and Outsourcing areas policies & roadmap, keep an overview of how it is implemented, identify and help to resolve any issues linked to the policy execution;
  • Design and implement a framework to continuously monitor risks, track risk limits and tolerance, monitor and report risk appetite breaches as well as risk-related incidents;
  • Prepare and provide regular reports to the Management Board about the risk profile and the status of risk management efforts as well as the outsourcing risk;
  • Work closely with Compliance, AML/CTF, ICT functions to ensure timely identification, evaluation, escalation and reporting of risks;
  • Own the process and ensure a full risk assessment is performed for all new products, projects and initiatives (New Product Approval Process (NPAP));
  • Ensure that the outsourcing process adheres to regulatory requirements and own Outsourcing Policy;
  • Ensure that outsourcing agreements are compliant and aligned with the company's objectives, together with Legal team oversee intragroup outsourcing agreements and agreements with third-party service providers;
  • Initiate and perform initial and ongoing due diligence checks on service providers, including Group companies, to ensure their suitability and compliance with internal and external outsoursing standards (including international security and privacy standards (such as GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO27000);
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders within the Group on the content of the agreement, as well as on establishing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and the provision of transferred services;
  • Monitor the risk levels of outsourced parties and ensure appropriate risk mitigation strategy is implemented;
  • Provide training and educational programs to staff members to enhance their awareness of risk and outsourcing management principles and practices.

About you

  • At least 3 years of experience in governance, risk management or compliance in a financial sector;
  • Hands-on experience with outsourcing and risk management;
  • Capabilities of identification and management of risks arising from outsourcing;
  • Fundamental knowledge of European and local regulation, especially requirements set by the Bank of Lithuania risk management and outsourcing of operational functions, as well as knowledge of international risk management standards (such as ISO31000, Basel, COSO);
  • Knowledge of general EMI compliance requirements and AML/CTF regulations;
  • Ability to find a sensible balance between governance requirements, best practices and business needs;
  • Strong data analysis and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent communication in spoken and written English and Lithuanian;
  • Proven interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams;
  • Demonstrated ability to drive complex programmes / projects to successful completion in a fast-paced environment;
  • Inclined to take ownership and strive for excellence;

The salary range for this position is 4,200- € 5,800 gross per month (50,400 to 69,600 euros per year depending on experience)
