Details
Airbnb's Analytics Centre of Excellence (ACOE) in India provides data-driven decision-making across business functions including payments, trust, digital, customer support, hosting, sales, social, compliance, risk, platforms and partnerships & economics. The ACOE builds scalable analytics solutions: metrics, dashboards, optimization, pre/post feature impact measurement, ROI sizing, prioritization, anomaly alerting, root cause analysis, and exploratory hypothesis testing.
Responsibilities
- Act as a data thought partner to product and business leaders across marketplace teams, providing insights, recommendations, and enabling data-informed decisions.
- Drive day-to-day product analytics and build scalable analytical solutions for Contact Center Product space (including AI Assistant, IVR, and agent-assisting tools).
- Own the product analytics roadmap, prioritization and delivery of solutions; manage projects end-to-end (timelines, milestones, stakeholder updates).
- Lead end-to-end measurement for AI systems, aligning metrics with business outcomes, user experience, and trustworthiness.
- Collaborate with engineering to define scalable logging and ensure observability across agentic and LLM workflows.
- Lead design and evaluation of A/B and causal tests to quantify impact of AI features and optimizations.
- Translate insights into strategic recommendations for senior leaders and shape product priorities through data.
- Hire, mentor and uplevel team capability in AI analytics, experiment best practices and storytelling.
Requirements
- 6+ years industry experience; degree in a quantitative field (Masters or PhD is a plus) such as Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or Operations Research.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to communicate rigorous analysis to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong expertise in Python and SQL.
- Strong expertise with A/B testing platforms and best practices; experience in experimental design, EDA, hypothesis and significance testing.
- Experience with regression, clustering techniques, and building metrics from conception to production (prototyping, data pipelines, metric computation jobs).
- Experience with machine learning and deep learning techniques; familiarity with NLP/Text Mining and language model fine-tuning.
- Understanding of LLM architectures (e.g., prompt chains, retrieval augmentation) and orchestration frameworks (examples: LangChain or DSPy).
- Data engineering foundations: ability to partner with data engineering on pipeline design, data model changes, and maintaining reliable metric systems.
- Familiarity with agentic AI systems, human-in-the-loop design, and AI observability best practices.
- Familiarity with vector stores, embeddings, prompt instrumentation, and structured logging of LLM interactions is a plus.
- Contact center and marketplace domain knowledge is a plus.
Location & Relocation
- Only Bangalore-based candidates will be considered. Relocation assistance cannot be provided.
Compensation & Perks
- India annual pay range: ₹1,960,000—₹2,800,000 (base pay range is annualized and inclusive of allowances). This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentives, equity programs, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
