Details
Reddit is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the Analytics Engineering team within the Data Science organization focused on the Sales and Marketing domain. The role sits at the intersection of Data Science and Data Engineering and will work closely with Data Scientists and Sales & Marketing cross-functional teams to curate, develop, and deploy data and analytic tooling to drive Reddit’s business.
This role will help architect and improve data collection, create ETLs, reporting dashboards, data aggregations, and build tools that empower internal teams and enable self-service analytics. The position is remote in the United States and may be open to applicants in other countries where Reddit has a physical presence.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Analytics Engineering lead within the Sales and Marketing organization and contribute to data quality, performance, and automation initiatives.
- Act as data steward for Sales and Marketing: architect and improve collection of underlying data and create ETLs, reporting dashboards, data aggregations, and other deliverables for business tracking, advertiser outreach, acquisition, and marketing campaigns.
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows for data ingestion, processing, and transformation; collaborate with engineering to ensure pipeline quality and reliability.
- Create user-friendly internal tools and applications to streamline data analysis and reporting; drive adoption with focus on automation, consistency, and reliability.
- Lead efforts to build a data-driven culture and enable data self-service across Reddit.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, coaching and/or training to data scientists and other technical partners.
- Partner with data scientists, engineering managers, and leadership to shape data foundations roadmap and strategy.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, operations research, computer science, applied mathematics, economics, physics).
- For M.S. holders: 5+ years of industry experience working with large-scale ETL systems (implementation, strategy, maintenance) and building clean, maintainable code and systems (Python preferred) in production.
- For Ph.D. holders: 4+ years of industry experience working with large-scale ETL systems (implementation, strategy, maintenance) and building clean, maintainable code and systems (Python preferred) in production.
- Experience working in Sales and Marketing domains.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, Scala, etc.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT concepts and patterns for efficient data governance; experience manipulating massive-scale structured and unstructured data.
- Experience with data workflows (such as Airflow), front-end or back-end engineering.
- Experience in data visualization and dashboard design (Looker, Tableau, R visualization packages, streamlit, D3, and other libraries).
- Deep understanding of technical and functional designs for relational and MPP databases.
- Proven cross-functional execution and collaboration skills; excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring junior data scientists and analytics engineers; self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Transparency
- Base salary range for U.S.-based applicants: $190,800 - $267,100 USD.
- In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for equity (restricted stock units) and, depending on position, commission. Final offers depend on skills, experience, and other factors.
