Responsibilities

  • Enable self-serve consumption of reliable metrics and dashboards supporting Investor Relations reporting and company-wide analytics
  • Design robust data foundations and processes to proactively shape Airbnb’s data ecosystem
  • Drive scalability, efficiency, and cohesion in analytics to influence business strategy and organizational growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to gather data requirements and plan tasks
  • Architect and implement new data models addressing critical business verticals and Investor Relations priorities
  • Maintain Midas metrics architecture for company-wide reporting
  • Develop dashboards using Tableau or Superset
  • Troubleshoot issues and contribute to long-term infrastructure visioning
  • Lead technical discussions with stakeholders
  • Mentor other team members ensuring alignment with best practices and excellence in analytics

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Expertise in distributed data processing systems, such as Spark and Presto
  • Advanced SQL and data modeling skills, including database schema and dimensional modeling
  • Strong programming skills in Python; experience in Scala preferred
  • Passion for creating trusted metrics and self-serve dashboards
  • Familiarity with visualization tools including Tableau and Superset
  • Experience with ETL frameworks like Airflow
