Information about the position

As an Analytics Engineer you will become an integral part of the Help Experience domain, dedicated to enhancing our Member Support function through AI-driven automation, self-service, and operational excellence. Our mission is to create a seamless, scalable, and cost-effective support experience for all Vinted members.

You will work alongside a dynamic and talented group of Analytics Engineers within our Intelligence team and the company-wide Analytics Engineers guild. In this role, you’ll ensure that high-quality data is readily available to meet various business and analytical needs. You will advocate for and implement best practices in analytics engineering, manage cross-domain technical projects, collaborate with external Engineering teams, and continuously strive to elevate data practices within our Help Experience domain.

In this position, you’ll

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient & reliable data models and pipelines for both external and internal data in our modern cloud stack
  • Continuously collaborate with Data, Product and business stakeholders within the company to collect data needs, and translate this into pipeline designs and effective data models
  • Proactively drive optimisation, documentation, training, and monitoring of modelling best practices across the domain to ensure that our colleagues are able to optimally use our models
  • Perform root cause analysis in case of issues in data production processes
  • Contribute to other company-wide analytics engineering projects and initiatives.

About you

  • Demonstrable working experience as Analytics Engineer, ETL Developer, Data Engineer or a similar Data role (typically 4+ years of working experience or similar activities resulting in a similar level of proficiency)
  • Proficient in SQL - able to write SQL code which is easy to understand, simple to troubleshoot and is highly performant
  • Experience with DBT (data build tool) and Google Cloud Platform (incl. BigQuery) is an advantage
  • Familiar with data modeling, data access and data storage techniques
  • Have working experience with Git, and at least one mainstream programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala)
  • Strong communication & collaboration skills - able to build and maintain multi-functional relationships with various teams across the business as well as translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Excellent written and spoken English
