The Growth Onboarding Engineering team focuses on driving user growth, engagement, and retention by managing the onboarding experience, including personalized recommendations, onboarding flows, sign up and authentication, user education, and large-scale A/B testing.

Responsibilities

  • Write clean, well tested, maintainable code adhering to best practices.
  • Proactively identify and lead strategic engineering initiatives to improve growth infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and other Growth teams to design and implement impactful experiments and champion experimentation best practices.
  • Use data to identify optimization opportunities across the user lifecycle, analyze metrics, identify trends, and implement solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and improve processes and tooling.
  • Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance and code reviews, and foster a culture of excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as a software engineer with recent senior role experience.
  • Experience delivering large scale projects from inception.
  • Strong architectural skills with ability to design complex systems and make technology decisions.
  • Deep knowledge of backend technologies including Golang (preferred), distributed systems, SQL and NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating remotely and discussing complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks and experimentation platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry experience in Growth Engineering.
  • Experience with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI.
