The ClickPipes Platform team builds and operates the data onboarding and integration infrastructure that ingests data from diverse sources into ClickHouse at petabyte scale and high velocity. This role focuses on backend and infrastructure engineering with emphasis on Kubernetes, distributed systems, cloud services, and platform reliability. The team works across multiple cloud providers (AWS, with expansion to GCP and Azure) and expects engineers to own infrastructure, automation, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Enhance and scale a high-performance data onboarding platform to handle increasing volumes of data in real-time.
Own and evolve infrastructure across multiple cloud providers (AWS, with expansion to GCP and Azure).
Drive improvements to deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, and operational processes.
Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions impacting scalability and resilience.
Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and respond to production incidents.
Continuously improve systems using operational metrics, customer feedback, and evolving business requirements.

Requirements

5+ years of industry experience building as a backend engineer.
Expertise in Go (Golang), Kubernetes, and Terraform (or a comparable IaC tool).
Solid knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Strong experience with distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and platform reliability.
Experience driving deployment pipeline improvements, infrastructure automation, and operational processes.
Strong production debugging skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; customer-focused mindset and high autonomy.
Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

Compensation

Typical starting salary for this role in the United States: $164,000 - $214,000 USD.
Typical starting salary for this role in US Premium Markets (e.g., San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro Area): $183,000 - $238,000 USD.
Actual compensation depends on factors such as experience, location, qualifications, and performance.
