Role overview
We are looking for product-focused systems engineers to work on Teleport Core Product, focusing on problems related to application security. You will implement security controls and work with security researchers to find and fix security vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities
- Become an expert on everything related to application security at Teleport.
- Design, develop, and ship outstanding, high-quality products.
- Write most of the code in Go.
- Closely collaborate with other teams at Teleport on matters related to application security.
- Grow your technical expertise.
Requirements
- Willingness to work collaboratively on a coding challenge in Go as part of the interview process.
- Extensive Go experience.
- Extensive experience developing scalable distributed systems and platforms with a focus on application security.
- Linux systems engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of Identity Management, RBAC, ABAC, and zero-trust security models.
- Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to master new technologies.
- Transparency, honesty, and a no-ego mindset.
Nice to have
- Secure design and threat modeling experience.
- Vulnerability research experience.
- Applied cryptography knowledge.
- Significant contributions in open source.
How we hire
- Zoom meeting with a Teleport recruiter to learn about the company, products, compensation philosophy, interview process, and key requirements.
- Google Meet with the Hiring Manager to walk through the coding challenge and answer questions.
- Coding challenge collaboration: you join a Slack channel and complete a coding challenge in Go using GitHub (usually takes about 2 weeks), ending with a Zoom review meeting.
- If your challenge solution meets the bar, you'll receive an offer to join Teleport.
