Responsibilities

  • Build a cutting-edge Cloud Native platform on top of public cloud infrastructure.
  • Improve metrics pipelines and develop algorithms for enhanced autoscaling statistics and recommendations.
  • Develop the autoscale and Kubernetes operator to support seamless vertical and horizontal auto-scaling.
  • Collaborate closely with the ClickHouse core development team and other data plane teams to support autoscaling use cases and enhance internal infrastructure.
  • Architect and build a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
  • Experience building Kubernetes operators and working with controller runtime.
  • Production experience with programming languages such as Go and C++.
  • Comfortable with PagerDuty on-call duties, production debugging, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their IaaS offerings (e.g., EC2).
  • Experience with data storage, ingestion, and transformation tools like Spark, Kafka, or similar.
  • Passion for solving large-scale data problems.
  • Experience with Python frameworks (uv, rye, fastAPI) and data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across engineering teams.

Compensation

Salary ranges depend on location within the United States as follows:

  • New York / San Francisco Area: $157,000 - $232,000 USD
  • General US Remote: $133,450 - $197,200 USD
  • Los Angeles, CA / Washington, DC: $141,300 - $208,800 USD
  • Seattle, WA: $141,300 - $208,800 USD
