Details

Within NVIDIA, the Financial Services Engineering (FSE) group architects the financial infrastructure powering NVIDIA Cloud Services, including GeForce Now, by owning the end-to-end monetization pipeline. The team orchestrates global payment capture and transforms complex service usage into precise financial obligations using tax engines, financial ledgers, and compliant invoicing.

This Senior Data Engineer role on the Financial Systems Engineering team focuses on building foundational systems for NVIDIA's high-performance financial infrastructure. The role involves creating scalable cloud services that integrate with diverse financial systems and enable operational automation across global financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Architect event-driven pipelines (Kafka) and develop data models that ensure transactional integrity (ACID) for commercial events such as invoices, payments, and adjustments.
  • Automate scalable ETL/ELT processes and refactor next-generation data architectures to improve data quality, security, and coverage for growing business demands.
  • Collaborate across teams to codify business processes into self-measuring systems and debug complex challenges to ensure reliable financial operations.
  • Build scalable REST APIs backed by PostgreSQL and integrate with diverse financial systems to enable operational automation.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience); Master's preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of industry experience delivering scalable financial services.
  • Core technical skills: Expertise building scalable REST APIs backed by PostgreSQL. Proficiency in Python, Golang, Scala, or NodeJS.
  • Data engineering: Hands-on experience architecting robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and dbt to manage large-scale Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg tables.
  • Infrastructure & systems: Deep understanding of high-scale distributed systems, Linux, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure). Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Ways to Stand Out (Preferred)

  • Advanced data modeling: Experience developing data ontologies or semantic data layers mapping disparate raw data into interconnected objects.
  • Financial domain scale: Track record managing Financial/ERP data at internet scale with transactional integrity and zero data loss.
  • Modern operations: "Infrastructure as Code" mindset and experience building self-healing systems in distributed environments.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD (final base depends on location, experience, and internal pay parity).
  • Eligible for equity and NVIDIA benefits (link to NVIDIA benefits referenced in the posting).

Additional Information

  • Applications for this job will be accepted at least until May 25, 2026.
