Role overview

The Company Financials Markets team is seeking a Senior Data Management Professional who can combine deep subject matter expertise and advanced technical skills to own and develop data-driven strategies and workflows around exchanges and 3rd party data providers. You will drive workflow strategies, deliver best-in-class user and technical workflows, and incorporate human-in-the-loop approaches into automation pipelines to shape Company Financials products. You will work closely with Product Development & Technology (PD&T), Product Managers, Engineering teams, Company Financials industry teams, and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data-driven strategies that balance technical, product, financial and market knowledge, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to craft solutions.
  • Own reliable and efficient workflows around exchanges and 3rd party data providers, including document acquisition and processing of structured and unstructured content, utilizing programming, machine learning and human-in-the-loop approaches.
  • Design, build and maintain high-volume, low-latency ETL pipelines and manage the data lifecycle.
  • Analyze workflows to identify observability checkpoints; design and build monitoring, reporting and alerting solutions across markets.
  • Analyze market-specific workstreams to identify opportunities for improvement or consolidation using Bloomberg's proprietary or open-source stacks.
  • Communicate and collaborate across teams (Engineering, Product, Bloomberg Intelligence) and stakeholders.
  • Develop interconnected data models enabling cross-dataset analysis and perform statistical analysis.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in the financial/fintech services industry (exchanges, market data providers, financial technology institutions) and/or a data engineering role or related fields (data quality, data modeling, data architecture).
  • Demonstrated experience working with Python in development or production environments.
  • Experience implementing high-volume, low-latency ETL pipelines and managing data lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with various databases, schemas and modeling, and with structured and unstructured formats (PDF, HTML, XBRL, JSON, CSV).
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and adapt tasks with a customer-focused mentality.
  • Powerful collaboration skills across departments and regions; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree/Master’s degree in Finance or STEM and/or CFA designation (or working towards it).
  • Experience with Bloomberg Company Financials products, specific market/exchange expertise, Bloomberg Terminal fluency, and/or Bloomberg Data Workflows.
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical methods (Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing).
  • Experience designing optimal database structures.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: 110000 - 190000 USD annually, plus benefits and bonus.
