The Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) department within Wealth Management (WM) aims to make commerce more data-driven. As a Senior Data Specialist, you will play an essential role in the development of the complete data chain to create data products that drive commercial success.

Responsibilities

You will be specifically working on the data chain from the data domain store. Actively collaborating with data engineers and data modelers within the IT organization, you will translate business requests into IT solutions for data preparation for consumption by the BI&A team. When all data is in the datastore, you will ensure that it is processed efficiently and reliably in our reports and analyses. The data chain is also utilized by other BI&A sub-teams, requiring effective collaboration with their specialists. You will have a clear vision on this topic and translate it into improvement plans and a roadmap while supporting and coaching colleagues. Additionally, you will build models in SQL / PySpark to make data available for Power BI reports.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a data specialist in a dynamic environment
  • Completed academic education (WO/HBO)
  • Proven knowledge and experience in ETL with strong consultancy skills and goal-oriented
  • Ability to develop others' talents through knowledge transfer and coaching
  • Flexible attitude to quickly adapt in a dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrated affinity with business, IT architecture, process design & management
  • Very customer-oriented, understanding and translating stakeholder wishes into concrete BI solutions
  • Fluent in Dutch and strong command of English, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of modeling and reporting using Power BI
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python (PySpark)
  • Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, and GIT
