NVIDIA is seeking an outstanding Senior Deep Learning Performance Architect with expertise in performance and energy modeling, architecture simulation, and profiling. The role focuses on analyzing and developing next-generation architectures to accelerate AI and high-performance computing applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative architectures to advance deep learning performance and efficiency
  • Prototype key deep learning algorithms and applications
  • Analyze performance, cost, and energy trade-offs using analytical models, simulators, and test suites
  • Characterize power and performance on silicon parts and translate findings to architecture features and simulators
  • Understand the interaction of hardware and software architectures on future algorithms, programming models, and applications
  • Collaborate actively with software, product, and research teams to guide deep learning hardware and software direction

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 6+ years relevant experience, or PhD with 3+ years in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields
  • Strong foundation in deep learning model architectures and workload analysis, especially LLM decode architectures and performance trade-offs
  • Experience with performance and energy modeling, power architecture, architecture simulation, profiling, analysis, and visualization
  • Strong programming skills in Python and C++

Ways to Stand Out

  • Background in GPU computing and parallel programming models such as CUDA
  • Experience with deep neural network training, inference, and optimization using leading frameworks like PyTorch and JAX
