NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to join our advanced AI strategy team to inform direction with NVIDIA’s deep learning engineering teams and collaborate with leading AI companies innovating on next-generation AI technologies. You will work at the forefront of Generative AI, contributing to machine learning lifecycle stages from conceptualization to applied research, engineering for optimized inference, training, and deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the latest AI research and industry partners to push boundaries of hardware and software.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to identify key gaps and stay updated on the latest AI systems infrastructure, including kernel-level optimizations to data center scale deployments.
  • Prototype quickly, architect, and craft new features.
  • Work with engineering and research teams across NVIDIA to ensure smooth transition of concepts to NVIDIA's software stack.
  • Conceptualize solutions across multiple facets including data center designs, networking, diverse model architectures, the NVIDIA stack, and deployment scenarios.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Deep Neural Networks, Large Language Models, Multimodal models, and Scaling techniques.
  • Over 10 years of proven experience in deep learning systems, infrastructure, and NVIDIA GPUs.
  • Excellent programming skills in C/C++, Python, including debugging, performance analysis, and test design.
  • Solid foundation in CPU and/or GPU architecture, with knowledge of high-performance computing and distributed programming.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work in dynamic and distributed teams.
  • Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to envision future possibilities beyond current technologies.
