We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer to specialize in datacenter system design, networking, and customer-facing technical leadership for large datacenter platforms and AI solutions. This role focuses on OEM networking design-in and integration into large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI computing systems and requires close cross-functional collaboration and customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical specialist on datacenter and networking products, directly supporting sales account managers and partners' engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Solve complex hardware and deployment issues.
- Provide onsite support for large datacenter manufacturing and deployment of NVIDIA AI solutions.
- Establish and maintain technical relationships with customers' engineers, management, and architects.
- Identify customer architectures and key product requirements in the enterprise AI market.
- Provide technical and sales training to the direct sales team and channel partners.
- Establish strong relationships and communication channels with internal teams.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of work-related experience in the high-tech electronics industry in a system design role or technical customer support role.
- In-depth knowledge of servers, storage systems, network devices, and other datacenter hardware.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and technologies (TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, switches).
- Experience with datacenter system design, integration, and large-scale deployments.
- Experience with embedded Linux systems and familiarity with APIs and embedded OS concepts.
- Ability to work in a constantly evolving environment and multitask across initiatives.
- Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time-management, organization, and written/oral communication skills in English; ability to collaborate effectively with management and engineering.
Preferred / Ways to stand out
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise server design and management.
- Experience with large-scale rollouts of datacenter equipment.
- Deep networking expertise (TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, switches).
- Embedded Linux system experience and API/embedded OS knowledge.
- Experience working with OEMs in enterprise, government, and large datacenter deployments.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary ranges:
- Level 3: 132,000 USD - 207,000 USD per year
- Level 4: 160,000 USD - 253,000 USD per year
