Details
Teleport is the AI Infrastructure Identity Company building a unified identity layer for infrastructure to secure humans, machines, workloads, and AI agents with a hardware root of trust rather than vulnerable credentials. Teleport scales zero trust across cloud and on-prem environments, reducing infrastructure complexity and credential sprawl. Headquartered in Oakland, CA, Teleport operates globally and serves customers such as Nasdaq, IBM, DoorDash, and Elastic.
Our Vision
Today's computing environments have too much complexity, too many network boundaries, and too little trust. Teleport aims to make trusted computing simple, enabling engineers to move faster while maintaining security through identity, ephemeral privileges, and real-time intelligence.
Why Teleport
Teleport addresses the intersection between cybersecurity and infrastructure by replacing fragmented tools (PAM, network controls, secrets management) with a unified identity layer. This approach is especially important for AI-driven, non-deterministic workloads that require continuous trust, end-to-end visibility, and ephemeral privileges.
Role description
We are looking for product-focused full stack engineers to work on Teleport itself. You will build user interfaces and the backend APIs that support them across all parts of Teleport. You will participate in the full product lifecycle: working with customers to understand problems, writing RFDs (request for design), implementing features, testing, and writing documentation. Much of the code is open source.
Technologies
- Go (primary backend language)
- Rust (also used in parts of the codebase)
- TypeScript
- React
- Web security and related best practices
- Open source development workflow (GitHub)
Responsibilities
- Build user interfaces and backend APIs for Teleport
- Work across the full product lifecycle: customer discovery, RFDs, implementation, testing, and documentation
- Contribute to an open source codebase
Requirements
- Go experience
- TypeScript and React experience
- Strong understanding of web security
Interview Process
- 30-minute introductory call to review compensation, interview process, and requirements
- Join a Slack channel and submit a coding challenge in Go and TypeScript using GitHub
- The process emphasizes take-home work over multiple live interview rounds; candidates are given flexibility and time to complete the project
Benefits
- Extensive health coverage
- Annual expense budget
- Rest & recovery policies that maximize leave and recharge time
- Retirement savings plans
- Equity in a US $1.1‑bn business
- Professional development opportunities
