At a glance

As a financial institution we need to be in control of our data, especially sensitive data. AI is evolving faster, the responsibility to securing data comes along with it. As a Senior Information Protection (Purview) Engineer you will be responsible to protect this data against loss and misuse. Using our technology, you engineer policies to protect the information of the bank. Your insights in data protection will be a valuable feedback loop to the business to better secure our data.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a Senior Information Protection (Purview) Engineer in the Information Protection team within CISO (Corporate Information Security Office), Cyber Defence department.
  • Design, implement and govern data leakage prevention controls and protection policies.
  • Engineer and deliver impactful Microsoft Purview capabilities to protect bank information.
  • Keep up to date on laws and regulations (GDPR, DORA, EU AI Act, internal policies) and apply them to information protection.
  • Share knowledge and latest developments in Information Protection with colleagues.

Requirements

You really must have the following knowledge and/or experience:

  • Proven experience in designing, implementation and governing data leakage prevention controls.
  • Hands-on experience implementing policies with Microsoft Purview modules:
    • Data Loss Prevention (SIT, EDM, OCR, Trainable Classifiers)
    • Communication Compliance
    • Insider Risk Management
    • Information Protection (Sensitivity labels, RMS)
  • Certified SC-400 and/or SC-401.
  • Senior advisory and influencing skills; able to communicate with stakeholders at different levels.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview Data Security Posture Management (DSPM).
  • Experience implementing Copilot security policies.
  • Certification such as CISM, CISSP or SC-300.
  • Experience working in a DevOps/Scrum team.

Working environment

You will work for the Cyber Defence department within CISO, next to approximately 150 colleagues. Cyber Defence is responsible for all security operations of ABN AMRO. You will work closely with several teams with specific security knowledge and goals.

Our office in Amstelveen is your home office. We are open to the New Way of Working, allowing you to choose locations or moments you want to work in consultation with your manager.
