Details
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Architect with deep experience in industry standard I/O interfaces. This role combines development of chip requirements and architecture with participation in industry standards organizations. You will work alongside GPU, SoC, and system architects to evaluate I/O interface and internal fabric requirements for future chip architectures.
Responsibilities
- Develop ECNs addressing requirements for new capabilities and steer them through industry standards organizations such as PCIe, CXL, and UCIe.
- Drive internal architecture of designs for adoption of features and capabilities in industry specifications.
- Engage with customers and partner companies to develop interconnect strategies and understand requirements for future AI and graphics systems.
- Work across architecture, software, hardware design, and verification teams to align functionality, compliance, and roadmaps.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis into PCIe performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks, improve data throughput, and analyze complex memory ordering requirements to ensure data consistency and efficiency.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE), Computer Science (CS) or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience.
- Deep knowledge of PCIe, CXL, UCIe, or similar I/O interface technologies.
- Understanding of system architecture, virtual addressing/translation, interrupts, and cache coherence protocols.
- Experience working in industry standards bodies is a plus.
- Ability to identify, gather, and document requirements and write technical specifications and whitepapers for internal and external use.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse technical domains.

- Base salary ranges provided: Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD; Level 5: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD.
