Responsibilities

  • Help develop and maintain Airbnb’s test tools, environments, and frameworks for iOS.
  • Write and test product and system code.
  • Participate in design reviews to architect testable systems.
  • Guide designs and code to improve modularity and testability.
  • Build, maintain, and support testing infrastructure, applications, environments, and tools using expertise in distributed systems.
  • Drive cross-collaboration and execution of projects across multiple teams.
  • Ensure code quality, commitment to craft, and operational excellence.
  • Scale distributed applications in a highly-available 24x7 environment.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including design, product, data science, and research partners to influence engineering decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of mobile development experience, or 2+ years with a PhD in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in Swift and XCUITest.
  • Expertise in developing testability and test automation frameworks and infrastructure for testing iOS mobile applications at scale.
  • Experience developing or testing distributed systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on technical leadership in projects and roadmap definition.
  • Ability to develop solutions to ambiguous problems and integrate across multiple teams with significant impact.

Location

  • US - Remote Eligible (must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity).

Benefits

  • Base pay in range of $191,000 to $223,000 USD.
  • Bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits may be eligible.
