The company is addressing real-time communication challenges by developing the Reddit Chat, aiming to make synchronous conversations a core part of the Reddit community experience.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to build innovative iOS products and features.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to create compelling user experiences on iOS.
• Actively contribute to the team’s strategic planning and technical decision-making.
• Participate in product reviews and team meetings, providing iOS-specific technical insights.
• Foster a healthy engineering culture and collaborate with iOS and platform engineers.
• Lead architecture and implementation of chat features on iOS.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent technical expertise.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing scalable, native iOS applications using Swift.
• Proven track record of leading large iOS projects requiring cross-team collaboration.
• Expertise in modern iOS development frameworks including SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, and Concurrency.
• Strategic thinker passionate about building scalable, well-designed software impacting global users.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, self-directed, innovative, and comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams such as design, product, and data to deliver excellent iOS user experiences.

Pay

The base pay range for this U.S.-based position is $190,800 - $267,100 USD annually. Additional equity in the form of restricted stock units and other benefits are included.
