Details

Intelligent machines powered by Artificial Intelligence that can learn, reason and interact with people are no longer science fiction. NVIDIA builds hardware and software platforms (for example, DRIVE AGX hardware and DRIVE software) used by partners to deliver products across the world. This role focuses on localization for autonomous vehicles and building robust solutions that use ubiquitous navigation maps and crowd-sourced maps in the driving stack.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build robust and accurate solutions for map-enhanced autonomous driving with ASIL safety requirements in mind.
  • Localize to map data to provide a precise and rich model of the environment around the car, including beyond the horizon of perception.
  • Ensure algorithms work well on large amounts of real and synthetic data across diverse environments and conditions.
  • Write safe, highly efficient real-time code in C++, leveraging algorithmic parallelism via GPGPU programming in CUDA.
  • Productize software for real-world deployment to consumer cars, following automotive quality and safety standards (MISRA, ISO 26262).

Requirements

  • PhD with 1+ year, MS with 3+ years, or BS (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in computer vision, 3D geometry, mapping, localization or related technologies.
  • Meticulous craftsmanship of software in modern C++.
  • Solid foundation in linear algebra and geometric computer vision.
  • Outstanding communication and teamwork skills for cross-team collaboration and tight team work.

Ways to stand out

  • Significant industry experience in the above areas.
  • Experience developing real-time computer vision systems.
  • Experience with CUDA parallel programming.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranges provided by location and level:
    • Level 3: 152,000 USD - 241,500 USD
    • Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD
  • You will also be eligible for equity and benefits (link to NVIDIA benefits provided in the posting).
