Our Team:

The Corporate Technology Team is responsible for crafting, deploying, and supporting Bloomberg’s internal IT systems. This includes our global corporate network plus all hardware, software and the enterprise applications used by nearly 26,000 employees in more than 190 state of the art offices around the world. The team focuses on enterprise solutions, efficiency tools, and IT systems integration which helps move all of Bloomberg's businesses forward.

The Role

You’ll partner closely with the architecture team to bring network designs to life—leading the end-to-end delivery of enterprise network solutions across a complex, high-performance environment. You will bridge design and execution to ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, operationally sound, and supportable at global scale. You will act as a technical leader—owning key initiatives, influencing design decisions, and helping define best practices across campus and data center networking, next-generation firewalls, SD-WAN, wireless, automation, and network security. You will collaborate across engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to continuously improve performance, reliability, and user experience across Bloomberg’s modern offices.

Responsibilities

  • Drive global SD-WAN deployments, WAN transformation initiatives, and automation of site provisioning.
  • Deploy and operate EVPN/VXLAN networks across Data Center and Campus environments.
  • Support strategic programs including Zero Trust Networking, workplace agility, SaaS migration, and network automation.
  • Validate, refine, and operationalize network designs and security enforcement.
  • Continuously improve and evolve existing network solutions to enhance scalability, security, resilience, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead process improvements, automation strategy, and tooling for day-2 operations.
  • Provide escalated troubleshooting support and act as a key technical resource during incidents (Tier 3 escalation).
  • Enhance network observability, monitoring, and SLA visibility across the environment.
  • Collaborate closely with network vendors, influencing features, design decisions, and product direction where applicable.
  • Identify gaps in existing implementations and proactively enhance network designs to improve robustness and long-term scalability.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing network infrastructure in large-scale enterprise and data center environments.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale SD-WAN network design and implementation.
  • Experience with high-end Arista and Cisco switching platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with network segmentation, endpoint security (dot1x), and firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point).
  • Proven experience operating and scaling EVPN/VXLAN environments in production, including understanding of control-plane (EVPN) and data-plane behavior.
  • Deep expertise in BGP, VPNs/VRFs, QoS, and Multicast.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining automated workflows to manage network infrastructure, shifting from manual CLI configuration to Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong foundation in network analysis and monitoring: packet sniffers, Grafana, Splunk, telemetry, and modern observability tooling.
  • Ability to provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex network incidents and outages.
  • Curiosity, strong ownership mindset, and a demonstrated ability to evolve and improve existing network solutions in production environments.

Nice to Have

  • Public and private cloud knowledge.
  • Experience with Versa Networks SD-WAN.
  • Exposure to WiFi and load balancer technologies.
  • Service provider / MPLS experience.
  • Cisco CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure.
