Details
We are looking for a Network/Storage Test Engineer to join our End-to-End Cloud solution team. You will be part of the E2E Verification team with the main goal of testing and helping define advanced Ethernet/InfiniBand NIC and switch features and topologies to enable NVIDIA products to meet growing market demands. The role requires fast learning of new features, technologies, and protocols and engagement in testing and defining industry-leading networking systems.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to design review and product feature requirements across the Ethernet/InfiniBand NIC and switch portfolio.
- Design and build test topologies for appropriate product coverage with emphasis on emulating customer large-scale/complex environments.
- Design, mentor the testing automation team, and implement tests for new features within NVIDIA's network switch and adapter division.
- Lead POC activities and deploy experiments based on field demands and innovation opportunities.
- Generate comprehensive test reports during release execution, assist with reproduction and debugging of complex customer use cases, and determine root causes.
- Act as engineering PIC for full verification cycles of customer use cases, coordinating fixes with R&D.
- Execute end-to-end test scenarios across Regression, Performance, Functional, and Scale testing.
- Report testing progress and provide summary reports of testing activity.
Requirements
- B.A./B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience as an IT/Network Engineer.
- 8+ years of practical experience in networking/test engineering domains.
- Significant hands-on experience on Linux-based platforms.
- Experience with L2 and L3 network protocols.
- Fast self-learner with outstanding technical skills.
- Independent and responsible worker with planning and execution capabilities.
- Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ways to stand out from the crowd
- Experience with virtualization technologies: KVM, Hyper-V, VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes.
- Background with NAS and/or SAN storage systems.
- Scripting skills: Bash and Python.
Compensation and Benefits
Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
