Details

Computer graphics is undergoing its most significant transformation since the invention of the GPU. Neural Shading represents the convergence of AI and traditional rendering, opening unprecedented possibilities for real-time visual experiences. The Neural Graphics team leads this transformation, bringing together research and product development to enable AI-driven techniques in graphics workloads, including work with Slang (an open-source language and compiler for portable real-time graphics programming).

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive Neural Graphics technology strategy and set company-level technical directions for AI-driven rendering.
  • Pioneer state-of-the-art neural shading techniques that integrate with traditional graphics pipelines.
  • Connect research and product teams to develop modern concepts into production-ready technologies and drive transfers from research to shipping products.
  • Drive progress in AI innovation for real-time graphics and simulation technologies and collaborate across teams to influence hardware design and technical standards for neural shading.
  • Lead patent development and IP strategy and make technical decisions critical to major product success.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, Machine Learning, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of proven experience with a sustained history of remarkable technical contributions, or equivalent outstanding achievements.
  • Extensive knowledge of real-time rendering, neural networks, and physics simulation.
  • Background in world models, neural content generation, or AI technologies applied to entertainment, graphics, and media creation.
  • Track record of successful technology transfers from research to production.
  • Proven ability to lead complex technical projects across teams and take research from concept to production.

Ways to stand out:

  • Experience spanning graphics, AI, and physics, including emerging areas such as neural radiance fields or differentiable rendering.
  • Non-traditional interdisciplinary backgrounds (e.g., neuroscience or materials science).
  • Industry recognition through conference presentations, awards, or contributions to graphics/AI projects.

Compensation and Other Details

  • Base salary ranges provided by location and level:
    • Level 5: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD
    • Level 6: 272,000 USD - 431,250 USD
  • Eligible for equity and benefits.
  • Applications accepted at least until January 27, 2026. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
  • NVIDIA uses AI tools in its recruiting processes.
  • NVIDIA is an equal opportunity employer and committed to fostering a diverse work environment.
