NVIDIA is looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join its Autonomous Vehicle team in Santa Clara, CA, USA. As a member of the team, you will develop key features for the autonomous driving platform applying machine learning to prediction, planning, and control problems. You will create innovative ML solutions for NVIDIA’s next-generation automotive products. Strong research, software development, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Researching, implementing, and evaluating deep-learning-based methods for prediction and planning for NVIDIA's Autonomous Vehicle products.
  • Designing, running, and analyzing experiments and testing to evaluate the efficiency of solutions on real-world data.
  • Partnering with system software engineering specialists to ship industrial strength ML models.
  • Communicating and collaborating with multi-functional teams.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Engineering or Computer Science with a focus on Deep Learning, AI, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience applying machine learning to real-world problems.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and social skills.
  • Strong Python programming experience and software design skills.
  • Experience with deep neural network training, inference, and optimization using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, TensorRT.
  • Practical software engineering experience developing large and complex systems.
  • Excellent understanding of mathematical foundations of machine learning and deep learning.
  • Self-motivation combined with team spirit and eagerness to learn and solve challenging problems.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team.

Ways to stand out from the crowd

  • Experience applying deep learning to prediction and planning for autonomous vehicles.
  • Experience with reinforcement learning or optimal-control.
