The Strategic Finance & Analytics (SFA) team empowers Airbnb's growth by delivering financial strategy, insights, and measurement across planning, marketing, pricing, and global markets. We partner cross-functionally to optimize investments, drive accountability, and inform strategic decisions for guests and hosts worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategy discussions on spend allocation & pacing between Finance and Marketing leadership
  • Partner with Financial Operations to track Marketing media and production budgets to inform strategic allocations
  • Establish KPI framework for marketing channels and campaigns; set and monitor KPI targets, OKRs, and efficiency goals
  • Develop ROI calculation methodologies with Data Science and Research; lead holistic campaign reviews accounting for qualitative and quantitative impacts
  • Support weekly reporting needs from Marketing and Hosting orgs as well as quarterly campaign performance reviews
  • Conduct analytical deep dives into business trends and drivers of variance; independently lead data extraction, analysis, visualization, and presentation
  • Partner with Marketing, Product Marketing and Hosting leadership to develop strategy and support business performance

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant business and analytics experience (mix of financial planning, management consulting, and/or analytics preferred)
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
  • SQL experience preferred
  • Ability to work and influence cross-functionally across marketing, data science, and finance
  • Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize large data sets into a story with recommendations
  • Advanced presentation skills (Google Docs, Keynote, Excel)
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment; strong stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working within the marketing ecosystem (e.g., media agency, content providers, or brands)
  • Familiarity with marketing channels and KPIs, acquisition funnel analysis, and campaign effectiveness evaluation

Location & Work Model

  • US - Remote Eligible. Role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager.

Compensation

  • Base pay range: $204,000—$245,000 USD
  • This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
