This role is completely remote-friendly and is based in the United States.
The Two Paths
Depending on your background and where you want to make an impact, you will focus on one of two critical areas:
- Growth: Define the mechanics of how users discover and engage with Reddit, focusing on top-of-funnel acquisition, conversion to our apps, and long-term retention.
- Youth and Compliance: Design the vital guardrails that keep teens safe, ensuring Reddit meets global privacy and safety regulations, while crafting tailored experiences for different users that feel like Reddit.
Responsibilities
- Navigate ambiguous problems and transform them into clear project scopes and design strategies.
- Prototype to de-risk: use tools like Cursor to bridge the gap between "what if" and "here is how it works," testing complex edge cases before they hit production.
- Synthesize complex data and user behaviors into high-fidelity narratives that win over executive leadership.
- Operate in a high-velocity environment defined by rapid A/B testing and rapid iteration.
- Set the standard: produce pristine Figma files and thoughtful interactions that serve as a benchmark for the design organization.
- Lead cross-functional squads and act as a co-architect of the product roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience, ideally in high-scale consumer tech, safety, or growth-driven environments.
- Proficient in prototyping via code and comfortable using AI coding tools like Cursor to create functional prototypes that use real data.
- Ability to reframe messy legal or business asks into coherent, human-centered systems and influence roadmap priorities.
- Strong strategic thinking, high-fidelity design craft, and experience working with rapid A/B testing and iteration workflows.

Pay Transparency
The base salary range for this position is:
$180,200 - $252,300 USD
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. Reddit offers a wide range of benefits to U.S.-based employees. Interview recordings/transcription by AI may be used in select roles and locations with an opt-out option.
