Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company with more than 20M users of Grafana and customers including Bloomberg, JPMorgan Chase, and eBay. The company provides observability products across metrics (Grafana Mimir), logs (Grafana Loki), and traces (Grafana Tempo) and offers both Grafana Cloud (managed) and Grafana Enterprise Stack (self-managed).

This is a fully remote position based in Canada (candidates in Canada EST are being considered). The role sits in Product Management and will collaborate with globally distributed R&D, Engineering, Design, and GTM teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a vision and strategy for the product domain and own the product roadmap, collateral, and market research.
  • Act as the primary advocate and domain expert, communicating needs and functionality to external customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Transform ideas and feedback into a product vision and roadmap.
  • Collect user needs, requirements, and pain points by empathizing with customers.
  • Curate and represent user feedback to Engineering with evidence to support tradeoffs and priorities.
  • Work closely with Product Marketing to enable go-to-market differentiation, including creating and updating presentations, documentation, website content, datasheets, and whitepapers.
  • Make decisions about go-to-market strategies, pricing, packaging, licensing, and tiering.
  • Ensure Performance Testing is integrated across Grafana Cloud products (e.g., Application Observability, Kubernetes Monitoring) and connected to platform components like the Knowledge Graph.

The specific portfolio: own Grafana Cloud's performance testing experience built around the k6 open-source project (Grafana Cloud k6 and k6 OSS). Define how customers write, run, and act on performance tests and how test results integrate with metrics, logs, and traces.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product management.
  • Experience using or building developer-facing tools, APIs, or platform services.
  • Ability to discuss APIs, data models, schema evolution, and distributed systems concepts.
  • Experience driving adoption of shared services or platform capabilities across multiple product teams.
  • Experience working with Engineering and Design teams to build products with sound UX in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with open source software and/or commercial open source companies.
  • Experience using or building observability products and/or developer tools (including work as an SRE or for external customers).
  • Proficiency with infrastructure concepts and components such as Kubernetes, Cloud Service Providers, and virtual machines, with the ability to explain these models in accessible terms.
  • Experience with AI tools.

Compensation

In Canada, the base compensation range for this role is $164,490 CAD - $197,389 CAD. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
