Details
Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company whose products (Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo) are used by millions globally. This role is a fully remote position based in Spain. The Product Manager will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Grafana Cloud performance testing built around the k6 open-source project, covering both Grafana Cloud k6 (commercial cloud offering) and k6 OSS (open-source CLI). The PM will define how customers write, run, and act on performance tests, integrate test results with Grafana Cloud metrics/logs/traces, and evolve testing across protocols, browser, and mobile. You will collaborate with globally distributed Engineering, Design, UX, and GTM teams and act as the primary advocate and expert for your product area.
Responsibilities
- Develop a product vision and strategy for the performance testing domain.
- Own product roadmap, collateral, and market research for Grafana Cloud k6 and k6 OSS.
- Translate ideas and feedback into a product vision and prioritized roadmap.
- Collect user needs, requirements, and pain points by empathizing with customers.
- Curate and represent user feedback to Engineering and provide evidence for tradeoffs and priorities.
- Work closely with Product Marketing to enable GTM activities: presentations, documentation, website content, datasheets, and whitepapers.
- Make decisions about go-to-market strategies, pricing, packaging, licensing, and tiering.
- Ensure performance testing integrates with broader Grafana Cloud platform (Knowledge Graph, Application Observability, Kubernetes Monitoring) so customers can navigate between pre-production validation and production monitoring.
Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of Product Management experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS product.
- Experience using or building developer-facing tools, APIs, or platform services.
- Ability to discuss APIs, data models, schema evolution, and distributed systems concepts.
- Experience driving adoption of shared services or platform capabilities across multiple product teams.
- Experience working with Engineering and Design teams to build products with strong UX in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Bonus Points
- Experience with open source software and/or commercial open source companies.
- Experience using or building observability products and/or developer tools, either internally as an SRE or for external customers.
- Proficiency with infrastructure concepts and components (Kubernetes, Cloud Service Providers, VMs) and the ability to explain them in human-readable terms.
- Experience with AI tools.
Compensation
- In Spain, the base compensation range for this role is EUR 82,988 - 99,586 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
