Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source powerhouse. There are more than 20M users of Grafana, the open source visualization tool, around the globe, monitoring everything from beehives to climate change in the Alps. Grafana Labs also helps more than 3,000 companies manage their observability strategies with the Grafana Cloud or Grafana Enterprise Stack, both featuring scalable metrics (Grafana Mimir), logs (Grafana Loki), and traces (Grafana Tempo).
This is a fully remote position and we're considering candidates in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Develop a vision and strategy for the Infrastructure Observability (Infra O11y) product domain.
- Own product roadmap, collateral, and market research; collaborate with Grafana leadership on product goals.
- Conduct heavy customer discovery to understand user needs and pain points; collect and represent user feedback to Engineering.
- Work with engineering partners to define product strategy and prioritize initiatives (including net-new initiatives like Host Monitoring and ongoing work for Kubernetes Monitoring and Cloud Provider Observability).
- Build consensus and alignment across multiple engineering groups and stakeholders to simplify the Infra O11y experience in Grafana Cloud.
- Support go-to-market activities: competitive analysis, sales enablement, pricing, packaging, licensing and tiering decisions.
- Collaborate with PMM on presentations, documentation, website content, datasheets, and whitepapers.
- Ensure integrations with other Grafana Cloud offerings (for example Grafana Cloud Knowledge Graph and Grafana Assistant) to provide a seamless monitoring experience.
Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of experience in Product Management.
- 5+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS product.
- Experience using or building developer-facing tools, APIs, or platform services.
- Ability to discuss APIs, data models, schema evolution, and distributed systems concepts.
- Experience driving adoption of shared services or platform capabilities across multiple product teams.
- Experience working with Engineering and Design teams to build products with good UX in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Bonus Points
- Experience with open source software and/or commercial open source companies.
- Experience using or building observability products and/or developer tools, either internally as an SRE or for external customers.
- Proficiency with infrastructure concepts and components—Kubernetes, Cloud Service Providers, and VMs—and ability to articulate these models in human-readable terms.
- Experience with AI tools.
Compensation
In the UK, the base compensation range for this role is GBP 91,755 - 110,106. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
