Role overview

As the Senior Product Manager for Infrastructure Observability (Infra O11y) you’ll be responsible for Grafana Cloud products that span the infrastructure suite: Kubernetes Monitoring and Cloud Provider Observability. Infra O11y provides customers the ability to monitor core services across small self-serve to large enterprise customers. You will help define the vision and ensure long-term success of Infra O11y, work with engineering partners to fine-tune product strategy, and balance net-new initiatives (like Host Monitoring) with maintaining a strong roadmap and customer satisfaction for mature products.

Your role will require heavy customer discovery, understanding user needs, and building consensus and alignment across several Engineering groups and many stakeholders. You will also work on GTM activities including competitive analysis, sales enablement, pricing and packaging decisions, and integration touchpoints across Grafana Cloud (for example Grafana Cloud Knowledge Graph and Grafana Assistant) to create a seamless monitoring experience.

Responsibilities

  • Transform ideas and feedback into a product vision and roadmap
  • Empathize with customer problems to collect user needs, requirements, and pain points
  • Curate and represent user feedback to Engineering, providing evidence for tradeoffs and priorities
  • Work closely with Product Marketing to enable GTM on product differentiation, including presentations, documentation, website content, datasheets, and whitepapers
  • Make decisions about go-to-market strategies, pricing, packaging, licensing, and tiering

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management
  • 5+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS product
  • Experience using or building developer-facing tools, APIs, or platform services
  • Ability to discuss APIs, data models, schema evolution, and distributed systems concepts
  • Experience driving adoption of shared services or platform capabilities across multiple product teams
  • Experience working with Engineering and Design teams to build products and features with good UX in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders

Bonus Points

  • Experience with open source software and/or commercial open source companies
  • Experience using or building observability products and/or developer tools, either internally as an SRE or for external customers
  • Proficient with infrastructure concepts and components like Kubernetes, Cloud Service Providers, and VMs
  • Experience with AI tools

Compensation

In the United States, the base compensation range for this role is $162,275 - $194,730. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
