Details
NVIDIA is searching for a world-class generative AI researcher to join the fundamental generative AI research team at NVIDIA Research. The team focuses on research that pushes boundaries and builds the next generation of generative models with real-world impact. The work includes advancing generative AI methods for biomolecular design (small molecule, protein, RNA) and other scientific applications (GenAI4Science). Candidates are expected to have a strong mathematical foundation and be capable of analyzing and developing novel models. The position emphasizes fundamental research with freedom to pursue ground-breaking work within a collaborative research team that publishes at top venues in machine learning and AI for science.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and implement novel, large-scale generative AI methods.
- Publish original research in top venues.
- Collaborate with team members, other research teams, and product teams.
- Speak at conferences and events.
- Transfer technology to product groups.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of relevant industry or postdoc research experience.
- Excellent knowledge of the theory and practice of generative AI.
- Experience building generative models for molecules, molecular dynamics, proteins, RNA, or other scientific data.
- Excellent programming skills in prototyping environments such as Python; experience with C++ and parallel programming (e.g., CUDA).
- Knowledge of deep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch.
- Strong mathematical foundation and ability to analyze and develop novel models.
- Outstanding research track record (publication history).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Compensation & Other Details
- Base salary range: 192,000 USD - 304,750 USD (determined by location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions).
- Eligible for equity and benefits (see company benefits).
