Responsibilities

  • Develop flows, methodology, and application support for Clock Domain Crossing (CDC) and Reset Domain Crossing (RDC) within NVIDIA's RTL analysis CAD team.
  • Employ strong software engineering practices to develop leading-edge CAD flows for EDA tools such as Meridian.
  • Evaluate, deploy, and support cutting-edge EDA tools and methodologies for RTL analysis.
  • Act as an in-house EDA tools specialist, liaising between designers and EDA vendors by analyzing issues, building solutions or workarounds, and providing test cases.
  • Invent new methodologies to improve coverage and user efficiency through new tools and automation including AI.
  • Write technical documentation and train internal users.
  • Set up and maintain flow regressions and quality assurance.
  • Use data collection, analysis, and reporting tools to gain methodology insights.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience). BS with 6+ years or MS with 4+ years experience in RTL analysis, RTL design, and verification.
  • Deep understanding of static sign-off technologies including CDC, RDC, and Formal.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Tcl, and Make.
  • Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog HDL.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Ways to Stand Out

  • Hands-on experience with commercial RTL analysis tools like Meridian CDC/RDC, Spyglass CDC, or VC CDC.
  • Hands-on experience in digital design of asynchronous interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning/Deep Learning.

Compensation

The base salary range is 136,000 USD to 264,500 USD, dependent on location, experience, and comparable employee pay. Equity and benefits are also offered, with ongoing application acceptance.
