Responsibilities

  • Build A/B testing tools customized for the Ads marketplace.
  • Develop A/B testing tools to measure infrastructure costs by ad product.
  • Create advertiser-facing tools for exploring and optimizing Reddit Ads products.
  • Build scalable and reliable ad pacing platforms to enable efficient experimentation and research on control algorithms.

Requirements

  • Degree in a quantitative discipline such as engineering, statistics, computer science, applied mathematics, or economics.
  • 5+ years of experience contributing high-quality code to production systems at scale.
  • 3+ years of experience building ads-serving related systems (targeting, ranking, pacing).
  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks for multiparty marketplace scenarios.
  • Leadership experience in large engineering teams collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience in backend programming languages; Go or Scala preferred.
  • Experience with API development and service frameworks like Thrift and Protobuf.
  • Experience with data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, Kafka, Druid.
  • Familiarity with cloud providers like AWS or GCP.
  • Knowledge of tools including Kubernetes, Drone, CircleCI, Spinnaker, Argo, Airflow, Docker.
  • Experience with datastores such as ElasticSearch/Amazon OpenSearch, Redis, Postgres, Cassandra, BigQuery.
