The Ads Experimentation Platform (AEXP) team creates tools for engineers and scientists to accurately test and verify new ad products through sophisticated A/B testing frameworks tailored for the ads marketplace's complex environment.
Responsibilities
- Build A/B testing tools customized for the Ads marketplace.
- Develop A/B testing tools to measure infrastructure costs by ad product.
- Create advertiser-facing tools for exploring and optimizing Reddit Ads products.
- Build scalable and reliable ad pacing platforms to enable efficient experimentation and research on control algorithms.
Requirements
- Degree in a quantitative discipline such as engineering, statistics, computer science, applied mathematics, or economics.
- 5+ years of experience contributing high-quality code to production systems at scale.
- 3+ years of experience building ads-serving related systems (targeting, ranking, pacing).
- Experience with A/B testing frameworks for multiparty marketplace scenarios.
- Leadership experience in large engineering teams collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in backend programming languages; Go or Scala preferred.
- Experience with API development and service frameworks like Thrift and Protobuf.
- Experience with data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, Kafka, Druid.
- Familiarity with cloud providers like AWS or GCP.
- Knowledge of tools including Kubernetes, Drone, CircleCI, Spinnaker, Argo, Airflow, Docker.
- Experience with datastores such as ElasticSearch/Amazon OpenSearch, Redis, Postgres, Cassandra, BigQuery.
