About proficiency levels:
- 1-2 — basic awareness. Minimal hands-on experience, and a rudimentary understanding of the technology's purpose;
- 3-6 — daily use. Comfortable and regular usage, capable of handling common tasks and challenges related to the technology;
- 7-9 — you are an expert, you can teach others, you know all the pitfalls and tricks;
- 10 — exceptional knowledge, comprehensive understanding, and adeptness in all aspects of the technology, including advanced problem-solving. Think twice before claiming or demanding such level.

Details
Join the new Agentic Engineering team within the Deep Learning Framework Group at NVIDIA. The team builds agentic workflows that automate code generation, testing, and tuning across NVIDIA's frameworks, compilers, and developer tooling. This greenfield opportunity offers foundational technical influence within a high-autonomy team that partners directly with early-adopter engineering teams to translate complex requirements into durable, scalable infrastructure. The work sits at the intersection of modern AI applied to engineering inside a company whose hardware powers the AI revolution.
Responsibilities
- Partner with early-adopter engineering teams to identify friction points where agentic workflows have highest impact.
- Iterate on proof points with internal customers as they integrate agents into production, validating and revising plans.
- Design and build agentic systems that can operate in git-native workflows and CI pipelines to build, test, and iterate against real GPUs.
- Work on multi-agent orchestration, LLM-native tooling, or custom frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph) to drive autonomous loops that apply changes, measure results, and repeat.
- Potentially agent-ify compiler infrastructure to enable autonomous agents to perform high-dimensional optimizations with closed-loop validation on real hardware.
- Contribute to cross-organizational sharing of reusable agentic methodology and tooling.
Requirements
- MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience.
- Strong Python development skills.
- Working knowledge of GPUs or other highly data-parallel systems.
- Demonstrated projects or work experience using and supporting AI systems.
- Track record of shipping complex projects with minimal direction and partnering directly with internal customer/user teams.
- Experience leading technical work through changing requirements and revising direction when evidence demands it.
Experience (areas the team values)
- Multi-agent orchestration frameworks or LLM-based workflow automation (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph).
- Compiler infrastructure, intermediate representations, or program transformation.
- Autonomous search or optimization over high-dimensional parameter spaces.
- Hardware-aware performance optimization for deep learning workloads.
- Code generation systems or domain-specific languages (DSLs).
Ways to stand out
- Passion for ML hardware evolution and kernel programming techniques.
- Experience building evaluation or testing harnesses for ML systems or multi-agent workflows.
- Track record of building internal tools or frameworks that force-multiply engineering teams.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, self-directed environments while communicating clearly and listening actively.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary ranges by level:
- Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD
- Level 5: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD
- Eligible for equity and company benefits (see NVIDIA benefits).
