Bloomberg Law is changing the legal industry by delivering a sophisticated research platform focused on real-time answers, analytics and automation. The Core Experience team builds seamless, intuitive, and innovative experiences that empower users across the BLAW/BGOV/BTAX suite of products. The AI Assistant is a key component that provides ubiquitous access to AI-driven workflows across Bloomberg products; the team is building a scalable, modular platform for integration of tools, datasets, and workflows into the AI Assistant ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Design and build core experiences for the AI Assistant to make interactions intuitive, personalized, and contextual.
- Build a scalable and modular platform enabling integration of tools, datasets, and workflows.
- Leverage frontend and backend technologies to accelerate adoption of AI-driven workflows across the organization.
- Take ownership of technical solutions from development and delivery to production.
- Mentor and guide junior team members on design and coding best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years working experience in either Java, Python, C++ or any other object-oriented language.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a similar field of study, or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with and willingness to guide junior members of the team on design and coding best practices.
- Strong collaboration skills and willingness to both help and receive help from others.
- Experience or willingness to work with technologies such as Vue components for UI, Python and LLM-powered backend systems, and vector & semantic indexes for knowledge-base searches.

- Passion for building the next-generation legal research platform.
- Self-starter mindset and interest in agentic research tools and market trends in AI.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: 160000 - 240000 USD annually + benefits + bonus.
