Responsibilities

  • Build new backend services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang.
  • Design scalable systems using modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
  • Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems and teams.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate product and technical vision into a quarterly roadmap.
  • Write high quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services, especially service oriented architecture.
  • Passion for building an open financial system that unites the world.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with rapid company growth (startup to mid-size).
  • Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Blockchain technologies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
  • Experience decomposing monoliths into microservices.
  • Knowledge of Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
  • Experience building financial, high reliability, or security systems.
  • Crypto-forward experience including onchain activity, interacting with Ethereum addresses, ENS, dApps, or blockchain-based services.
