About Bloomberg Corporate Technology:

The Corporate Technology group is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting Bloomberg’s internal IT systems. This includes the global corporate network plus hardware, software, and enterprise applications used by nearly 21,000 employees in more than 170 offices. The team focuses on enterprise solutions, infrastructure automation, productivity tools, and IT systems integration.

Role

The Systems Engineering team within Corporate Technology builds solutions that support business needs, delivering secure, reliable, and highly automated services within a Windows-based enterprise ecosystem. Solutions are frequently built using .NET but technologies are chosen pragmatically. Work has expanded to include cloud-based technologies as Bloomberg evolves toward cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and provide operational support for production services and automation.
  • Build systems that automate, integrate with, or manage core infrastructure components such as servers, storage, telephony, and policy-based configuration.
  • Design and operate web and Windows services that integrate with internal systems and platforms.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver secure and reliable services that underpin the corporate environment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience building production services and automation in C# within a Windows-based enterprise environment.
  • Experience across all phases of the software development life cycle (design, implementation, testing, deployment, operational support).
  • Experience developing systems that automate, integrate with, or manage core infrastructure components (servers, storage, telephony, policy-based configuration).
  • Experience designing and operating web and Windows services that integrate with other internal systems and platforms.
  • Experience working with relational databases in support of backend services and automation.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental networking concepts and how distributed systems communicate.
  • Strong understanding of Windows OS internals and how they relate to security, configuration, and system behavior.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience programming in additional languages such as Python, C++, Ruby, or Java.
  • Experience working within a large-scale IT or enterprise infrastructure organization, including operating and supporting production systems.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and related identity, authentication, and authorization concepts.

Compensation

Salary Range: 160000 - 240000 USD annually + Benefits + Bonus.
