Details
NVIDIA is seeking an exceptional Senior System Software Engineer to join the GPU System Software team. This team develops comprehensive system software solutions from concept to production. You will oversee the lifecycle of GPU feature development, including proof of concept, design, architecture, algorithm implementation, and pre/post-SI optimization. The primary focus is on display features utilizing both hardware and software architectures to deliver energy-efficient consumer products.
Responsibilities
- Define, proof-of-concept (POC), design, and develop display features based on VESA DisplayPort standards like DP 2.1, HDMI, and eDP.
- Drive and resolve complex optimization strategies independently across multiple teams and technical disciplines.
- Influence next-generation GPU/SoC and platform architecture by creating internal architecture and design specifications.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with local and remote teams and drive interaction with OEM/ODM partners.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in system software or related field.
- B.S. or higher degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong programming skills in C and in-depth knowledge of low-level interfaces.
- Solid background in operating system internals, device drivers, real-time embedded operating systems, algorithms, and data structures.
- Ability to work closely with hardware designers and other driver engineers to create new features and solutions.
- Background and strength in complex system-level debugging.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Capability to achieve objectives under tight deadlines.
Ways to stand out from the crowd
- In-depth knowledge of low-level display pipeline fundamentals like VESA, HDMI, DP, eDP, PSR, FreeSync.
- Architecture and design experience in SoC/GPU software display, power management, and optimization.
- Prior experience in display technologies (VESA DP, eDP, HDMI) and software/hardware optimizations.
- Working experience in system software, operating system internals, kernel modules, and device drivers.
Compensation
- Base salary ranges provided by location/level:
- Level 3: 152,000 USD - 241,500 USD
- Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD
- Eligible for equity and benefits.
