Details
The Partner Integration team is responsible for integrating new business partners and functionality into Airbnb’s product. The team improves both the supply and demand sides of Airbnb’s Stays, Experiences and Services businesses through thoughtfully designed product experiences for Guests and Hosts. Recent work includes grocery delivery, airport transfers, integrations with smart lock providers, rewards programs, and more.
Responsibilities
- Design, write and test new APIs and integrations with partners.
- Integrate new product functionality into the Guest experience of Airbnb’s core product.
- Lead projects end-to-end — working directly with partners through launch.
- Identify patterns to scale new partnerships quickly.
- Debug external integrations and participate in the team on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with Product, Program, Design, Engineering, Customer Support, and external partners.
- Write design and alignment documents to propose and document system changes.
- Provide input on team roadmap and technical direction.
- Build large-scale backend solutions that are efficient, reliable, performant, and scalable.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience designing scalable and resilient large-scale service-oriented architectures.
- Experience leading projects and working cross-functionally.
- Experience designing, building, and testing APIs and external integrations; previous experience working with third-party APIs is a plus.
- Previous experience with authentication or secure signing mechanisms is a plus.
- Passion for reliability, efficiency, availability, and system quality.
- Strong judgement for balancing short-term business needs with long-term technical quality.
- High sense of user empathy and the ability to identify and solve user needs and friction.
- End-to-end mentality that transcends team boundaries to find globally optimal solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within and across engineering teams.
Location
- This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager.
- You must live in a U.S. state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity; excluded states may apply (see Airbnb careers page for details).
Benefits
- Base pay range: $190,000—$220,000 USD.
- This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
