The Public Cloud IAM and Org Management team builds solutions that enable cloud adoption in Bloomberg at enterprise scale. Our solutions must be scalable, maintainable, and secure. We build self-service solutions with control mechanisms and automations that address business needs without compromising organizational control.

Team / Role Overview

As part of the PCIO team you will play a critical role in Bloomberg’s public cloud adoption. You will work closely with client-facing teams building applications to drive business growth. You will influence products that focus on cost, security, and resilience in a centralized fashion and decide whether to build custom solutions, reuse open-source tools, choose a cloud provider, or select a vendor.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build automation and self-service tools for public cloud governance and organization management
  • Evaluate and propose enterprise-level solutions addressing cloud cost, security, and resilience
  • Work closely with application teams and stakeholders to drive cloud adoption and implement control mechanisms
  • Make architecture and technology choices (build vs buy, cloud provider selection)

Requirements

  • 4+ years of programming experience with Python
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working on solutions in one or more public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with access control services and organization policy management (IAM roles, users, service control policies)
  • Proficiency and experience in provisioning and building infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Good understanding of security principles and control mechanisms for public cloud technologies
  • Ability to understand, evaluate, and propose enterprise-level solutions

Nice to Have

  • Architect-level certification from one or more public cloud providers
  • Expertise in analyzing and fixing large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience working in a multi-cloud environment
  • Experience building cloud-native architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with workload identity solutions
  • Experience working with customized Terraform providers
  • Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools or other cloud security tooling
  • Experience with Golang

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: 160000 - 240000 USD annually (+ Benefits + Bonus)
