The Drive OS Automotive Software team is looking for a highly motivated and visionary Senior Software Safety Manager to build and bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle platform out to the world. This platform features multiple mixed criticality vehicle domains on a single computing platform running high-integrity virtualization and communication software at its core. You will participate in a focused effort to productize ground-breaking solutions that will redefine the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our DRIVE OS platform, while achieving or exceeding all relevant NVIDIA and automotive standards and guidelines. Responsibilities
- As a technical leader, plan and drive safety activities to deliver safe and robust software.
- Work alongside engineers and architects specializing in system software, virtualization, trusted OS, graphics, compute, and safety/security to develop system-level solutions.
- Partner with multi-functional teams to meet customer needs, resolve challenges, conduct detailed reviews, and build robust safety cases.
- Coordinate safety analyses (e.g., SW-FMEA, SW-CPA, SW-DFA), improving safety processes to meet high integrity demands while improving efficiency.
- Adapt safety processes and work products to support reuse across various industry domains, creating sustainable and future-proof solutions.
- Embrace state-of-the-art software development methods and tools to ensure the highest levels of software integrity.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of proven experience, with at least 5 years in safety-critical embedded systems developed under standards like ISO 26262, IEC 61508, DO-178C, or ASPICE.
- Strong ability to convey sophisticated ideas clearly and optimally to diverse audiences.
- Highly organized and adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic environment across different geographies.
Ways to Stand Out from the crowd
- Experience in Automotive AI/Autonomous Systems software.
- Skills in formal verification of software programs.
- Knowledge of LLMs for safety case development.
- Diverse experience across multiple safety-critical domains.
The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
