We are looking for a Solutions Architect (ProServ) to join our world class Customer Experience (CX) team. Solutions Architects at Grafana Labs provide customers with specialized business and technical consultation, and guidance to achieve their objectives using Grafana.
Role Overview
Our customers benefit from having a professional services partner at Grafana who understands their challenges and guides them to solutions through training, roadmapping, and specialized consulting. This partner is not quota/sales-based but focuses authentically on customers' best interests, sharing relevant stories and best practices, delivering a white-glove service engagement.
Solutions Architects are expected to be hands-on-keyboard, understanding the ecosystem of customer services and ensuring success with Grafana at the center. Familiarity with Kubernetes, Prometheus, log and metric differences, and related concepts is important.
SAs manage the lifecycle of customer onboarding and adoption of Grafana offerings, delivering training, quick-starts, project assurance, and specialized consulting for high-priority customers with complex technical needs. They provide ongoing support, monitoring recurring issues, acting as the voice of the customer, and working with product teams on recommendations.
Project management skills are necessary to monitor customer initiative progress.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with customers including executives, project managers, and IT development staff.
- Understand business needs and translate into business and technical requirements.
- Work with complex business and technological requirements to design solutions such as data visualization, workflow recommendations, migrations, and enterprise-scale architecture.
- Act as a functional lead, demonstrate methodology, lead workshops, document requirements, and design solutions.
- Maintain speed and agility to accelerate solution delivery.
- Advocate for standards and best practices.
- Stay current on Grafana Labs, observability, and related technologies.
- Support Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Professional Services teams to drive innovation and improvement.
- Engage with customers to help them succeed using leading-edge technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in deployment teams using project management techniques.
- Direct experience with observability (o11y).
- Knowledge of best practices for deploying an observability stack including visualization, alerting, metrics, logs, and traces, preferably with Grafana products (Grafana, Prometheus/Cortex/Enterprise Metrics, Loki/Enterprise Logs, Jaeger/Tempo).
- Proven track record of successful enterprise observability project delivery.
- Self-starter with eagerness to learn and innovate.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with Kubernetes (kubectl, Helm, Tanka preferred).
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.
Benefits
Base compensation range in the Netherlands: β¬106,000 - β¬127,000, variable based on level, experience, and skillset. Includes equity, bonus (if applicable), and other benefits (listed on the company careers page).
