Details
NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. The IPP (Infrastructure, Planning and Process) Cloud Infrastructure Team works with groups across NVIDIA (Graphics Processors, Mobile Processors, Deep Learning, AI, Driverless Cars) to provide cloud services used by thousands of software engineers. The cloud hosts machines and devices running Windows, Linux, and Android, and supports NVIDIA GPUs and Tegra processors to deliver unified CI/CD solutions and cloud-based software development.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Solutions Architect on the GPU Private Cloud team used for interactive development, centralized CI/CD and QA testing.
- Evaluate, identify and develop software solutions to optimize critical software development workflows across NVIDIA organizations.
- Architect, implement, and support end-to-end CI/CD systems using open-source and NVIDIA proprietary software.
- Onboard internal customers (NVIDIA development teams) to private cloud infrastructure through use-case discovery and solution mapping.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize speed and cost efficiency of AI development and testing systems.
- Lead software development projects and provide technical direction to a team of engineers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems within software systems.
- Define and implement critical metrics using analytics methods and dashboards.
Requirements
- BS in EE/CS or equivalent experience with 12+ years of systems software development, including at least 1 year dedicated to developing/exploring AI.
- Experience maintaining cloud infrastructure and highly available production environments.
- Strong programming and software development skills in Java, Python, and shell scripting; solid understanding of distributed systems and REST APIs.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL database systems such as MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch.
- Excellent knowledge and working experience with Docker containers and virtual machines.
- Experience with cloud technologies and related tooling, including OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Chef/Puppet, Hadoop/Ceph/SwiftStack, LXC, Git, Perforce, JFrog, and Kafka.
- Ability to work across organizational boundaries in a multi-national, multi-time-zone corporate environment.
Ways to stand out
- Depth in AI, machine learning and deep learning algorithms and techniques.
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills; history of guiding, evangelizing and influencing senior leaders across large organizations without formal authority.
- Experience developing large-scale software systems using modular architecture under real-time performance requirements.
- Background designing high-performance, scalable software systems with a focus on hardware cost optimization.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary ranges stated by level: Level 5 — 224,000 USD to 356,500 USD; Level 6 — 272,000 USD to 431,250 USD.
